This weekend the weather was truly crazy. It was rainy and the wind reached speed of up to 50 knots! Because of the weather scuba diving was cancelled for the weekend, but lucky later in the day the wind and rain died down a bit and we were able to go to Scott’s football/soccer game.
We got to the field and it was still a bit windy, but the rain had stopped (for now). The game began around 2pm, I was watching from the car because the sky still looked like it could open up at any minute…
And then it did.
I took photos of the players on the field and also of the patterns the rain and wind were creating on the windshield.
The second half of the game the weather improved and so did the game, I finished watching it up in a pavilion with the other spectators, where there was also a bbq and a coffee and tea stand where we could buy warm things to eat and drink.
After the game had ended and we got back to the house I saw I had a message from the people at the donkey sanctuary which I had volunteered to help at. While Scott stayed in the house and regained warmth, I went back out into the windy weather and helped to clean the donkey pasture, and meet the people who help keep the donkeys happy and healthy.
