Hi everyone, sorry I have been a bit behind on posting updates here, I have been applying to jobs, and interviewing and such. But I will continue to post more and upload some more pictures too!
Anyways, last night Scott and I began the first stages of our advanced diving course! This includes three specialty dives; we have chosen to do a night dive, a wreck/deep dive and learning perfect buoyancy. Last night we did the wreck/deep dive. This included us diving down to the wreck of Frontier about 30 meters underwater and swam around observing the fish and other sea creatures who had made this ship their home. This boat was a fishing trawler which was sunk by the UK government because it was in possession of contraband marihuana in 1994. Also right next to the Frontier is another smaller wreck of a wooden fishing boat which also sunk and has now become an artificial reef.
During our dive I did not take any photographs as we were learning the importances of keeping safe during a deep dive by continually looking at our dive computers, keeping track of our depth, the amount of air we had left (because the deeper you go the more air you use because of water pressure) and also the amount of time we had left in order to ascend safely and still perform a safety stop.
